Case Study
Acoustic Wall for Compressor Station

Customer Challenge:
Two gas scrubbers installed in a gas compressor station required noise mitigation to protect nearby communities and comply with planning conditions.
Solution:
A 5m high acoustic wall enclosing both scrubbers, with a total length of 55 meters:
- Noise restrictions: Acoustically insulated panels, tested in accordance with ISO 10140-2, to provide a direct sound reduction index of 43dB (Rw).
- Maintenance: A total of 3 single-leaf personnel access doors for maintenance were fitted.
- Structural: Integrated support steel structure for structural integrity, fabricated inhouse to the client’s design. Panels were executed with a durable powder coat finish.
Outcome:
Noise reduction of gas scrubbers installed in a gas compressor station, in compliance with requirements, reduces the risk of noise pollution to nearby communities.
