Noise Reduction For Pressure Reducing Valves
In-line diffuser and sparger assemblies are engineered drilled pipe components designed to significantly reduce noise generated by pressure reducing valve applications. These assemblies are installed downstream of control valves to provide effective noise attenuation through controlled pressure staging.
These designs are effective when used in combination with control valves to achieve optimal pressure drop distribution across the system. The multi-stage pressure reduction approach dissipates high-energy noise while reshaping the frequency spectrum, shifting peak frequencies to higher octave bands and reducing overall noise emissions.
Spargers and dump tubes are essential components for steam expansion in turbine bypass systems, commonly deployed upstream of steam condensers in combined cycle gas turbine power plants. These applications require precise steam flow management and effective noise control during bypass operations.
